The Georgia School Bus Safety Program is a comprehensive safety initiative designed to support each element of pupil transportation in Georgia. The school bus, the driver, and the school system provide a specific, yet vital role, in the safe transportation of Georgia’s most precious resource, our children. This program is specifically designed to record and report the annual statutory safety inspection of each school bus operating in Georgia. Through the partnerships of The Georgia Department of Public Safety, The Georgia Department of Education, and school system administrators, the program promotes the annual training of Georgia’s school bus drivers and supports quality school bus maintenance programs within each school system.
